Trainees nightlife following the Spanish way of partying
From the countless reasons that can spur students to make a traineeship in Spain, without referring to Paella or Corrida, the nightlife is doubtless the most massively endorsed. Indeed Spain has the reputation to be joyful and very convivial. The Spanish, more than any other people like to go out and the “calor” (warmth) of their nights (even in winter) is not to be demonstrated anymore! To experiment it the best, the visitors have to be aware of the basic rules of a Spanish night, but moreover be prepared to the intensive rhythm of a Spanish night. Usually a Party night in Spain starts with a glass (or more…) in a café or in a “tasca” (kind of pub where people eat Tapas also). Once it is started, you will not stay alone at your table: the main interest of those places are exchange and discussion with total unknown people. Spanish indeed seem to fear lone and quiet ambiances. A small munch during the night? Then you have the choice between those « tascas » again, and charm full traditional restaurants. The locals appreciate a lot not to eat home alone. The only thing is to be patient, as the dinner use to be served around 10:00 pm. In summer it can be up to midnight! Afterwards several choices are up to you… culture addicts will go to the cinema or theatre. Others have to chose between the plenty of musical places that appears everywhere at nightfall. A smart choice will be to enter a nightclub : in every town or sea resort you will find the one that suits you, and they are opened until the morning. For those who still want to sleep for some hours, the local pubs will be enough, with their cheap drinks and musical ambiance. They generally close around 3:00 in the morning.
